Solstice Fire

The flames lick the wood

As I taste your food

The meal you give to nurture me

To fill me with your energy

The touch to float me out of we

Together free monotony

The fire burns on blackened gnarl

Your light golden in me now

These licking flames intensely bold

In white heat flow towards their goal

Union the aim of all this fire

Polarities cry join earth with sky

Fire and air and earth too

Beyond the moist of me and you

But not strange to compare the two

The heat between us shines anew

The breath we share absorbs we two

Our bodies firm as terra burns

And soft ash claims the blue.
